bit of a rapid exit if you ask me, at the end of the day toa's essence is in clean, low, jap cars. we welcome all (well most) jap cars in here but this is the equivalent of going on flame....oh i mean driftworks and saying drifters are chavs, you have to expect a heated discussion to follow.

hadyn- you dont have to leave, but as you said in the post you expected not for people to agree with your post so you must have been expecting it.

annnnnnnnnyhhwayy, back to the r32, plans?

Its an opinion you are allowed to share it but as you say dont expect anyone to agree, lol

you must remember though ultimately 'slamming' a car (lowring it alot) is a proven and tested way of improving a cars handling characteristics, lower centre of gravity etc, obviously to the extreme (bagged etc) will be detremental.
Plus alot of people do buy and mod there car for looks only not drivability.

I could post 1,000,000+ pics to prove this but you get the gist

each to there own though

slam it imo, will look and more than likely handle better

(p.s. hadyn, take it with a pinch of salt mate, but west mids honda slammage wouldnt be true, i slammed a nissan :p )

Fantastic car Smile

Dont ruin it by 'slamming' it. You're not a chav obviously Wink

My car is slammed and I'm definitely not a chav !!

I have had many cars built purely for speed that were no way near as low but ultimately with the way speed limits / camera's / police etc etc some
may say your wasting you time track tuning your car when 90% of your time is A to B driving !!

So you could say putting a big exhaust on your car makes you a chav ?? No.

Anyway there are planty of track focused forums out there and we're not on them telling em to stop wasting there time. This forum is different it's about all Jap
cars, ok alot of Honda's, but anything Jap that's clean, slammed with choice rims.

If that's not your bag then as said DO ONE an don't let the door hit ur ass on the way out Razz

well.....thats a new one i must admit......

so slamming a ca makes you a chav?

'Slamming' a car (IMO) so that its handling characteristics are changed so much that it becomes undrivable on public roads just so it looks 'hollafreshJDMtyteY01!11!!!' for some nice SLR pics is a chav thing to do. That is purely my opinion only, I dont expect any one to agree with me but differences in opinion are what makes internet forums special places Smile

Lowering or uprating suspension to improve driving performance and handling is a GOOD thing to do. (again only IMO).

I'm more into improving fast Japanese cars overall peformance, whether it be handling or engine power Smile

Sorry if this causes offence, as you've got a great forum and community on here but you do need to open you eyes to the vast spectrum of what is going on in the Japanese scene.

Kudos for the meets though, as I think its marvellous thing you're doing gathering quality Japanese cars together in the West Mids Smile,

well hadyn.....let me just congratulate you on 'going against the grain' on this forum

next, i'd like to say................................

TOA as a collective forum have one of the most eclectic styles and interests out there, and for you to define TOA as 'hollafreshJDMtyteY01!11!!!' is just plain ignorant. (IMO)

TOA is diverse, all you need to do is scroll through the Gallery section to see peoples builds, from track influences to clean, slammed with a killer stance - to drift - to drag. Then you can see generally what TOA members are interested in.

hence, it is you that "need to open you eyes to the vast spectrum of what is going on in the Japanese scene" (again only IMO)

TOA stands at shows, and the TOA meets get the amount of attention and recognition as they do because of the diverse nature of the club itself.
despite the name, alot of people are into to other marques from europe, and america

i can only speak for myself........hell, i'll speak for everyone, no one is offended by the comments dude. its your opinion, and your entitled to it. But the problem with that is, when you own a generic subaru, it renders your opinion irrelevant. one of the drawbacks about owning one im affraid

back on topic indeed lol

what direction you going with it john?

if i was using it for grip driving - a nice drop on some 17" TE37's and R888'S would look mean as hell

if i was using it for drifting - slammed on some dishy 18's and low pro's would kill it.

what power does it put out as standard?
is the type-m the 2.5?
