PostSubject: Nissan S14A   Tue 21 Sep 2010, 7:20 am

As all of you know i got my hands on a Nissan 200sx S14a Touring

after looking at loads for sale, this one caught my eye.

After a few messages i decided it was well worth a look so i organised to go down on saturday.
Arrived at a hella nice house in Greenhithe, Kent and met Kam the owner. had a chat, and took me for a tour and then we headed for the garage, where he proceeded to explain why he was getting rid.
"i'd love to keep it, but i just dont use it because of the new car"

garage openned to reveal a Porsche 911 sitting next to the s14.

needlessly to say we did the deal and i set off back to the midlands. can't wait to get to work on her Laughing

Current Spec:

Sapphire Blue S14a Touring with black leather

Engine: Stage 1 Mods

Recent oil change with Fuchs Titan Oil
Walbro high capacity fuel pump.
NGK cold grade 7 plugs.
Bren Device welded shut at 14psi.
Mongoose Twin 3 exit sensible full system- from turbo back.
Twin de-cat.
Apexi induction kit, with genuine fitting kit.
S15 spec-R wing mounted intercooler- .

Suspension:

Car has been set-up for 'fast road'

KYB AGX Dampers all round.
Apex -30mm springs.
Front and Rear upper Strut Braces
Whiteline rear Pineapple subframe rings.
Front & Rear Godspeed anti-roll bars (30mm front, 28mm rear).
Polyurethane droplinks.
Front Polyurethane ARB mounts.
Polyurethane Steering rack bushes.
Rear adjustable camber arms.
Full geometry set-up at DMS (Toe, Camber, Caster etc.)

Transmission:

6 Paddle XTD Clutch.
Lightened and Balanced flywheel.
Apex shifter
Recent oil change with Casterol EP 80/90 transmission fluid.

Interior:

Splitfire boost gauge mounted on carbon fibre plate in dash.
Vinyl Carbon Fibre affect on centre console, door vents & stereo surround.
Sony Mp3 head unit, (and six disc auto changer).
Full black leather as per touring spec.
A working NATS 2 Alarm System.

Exterior:

Nissan 350z JDM alloys.
Professionally flared & rolled rear arches by Arch Enemy.
Genuine Swedish spec S14a clear front bumper indicators.
Clear side repeaters.
HID 6000k lights.
Standard S14a touring spec side skirts & headlight washers.

After driving it for a couple of days, the first things on the list to do are wheels, and coilovers. the balloon tyres lose alot of the precision the chasis has to give. and the suspension is far too soft lol. just imagine a speedboat accelerating and youve got it

i feel it needs a bigger diameter exhaust - the mongoose apart from looking terrible, its quite small, and its limitting it
A front mount intercooler is a definate too
that being said its got enough power for now, and i wanna focus on setting it up to drift - and making it look good while it does it
