Thanks Leesy, bit of a budget car tbh, not looking to spend too much on this project with the MOT and Tax up end of this month has dented my funds a bit..

they can be TERRIBLE and then in some cases work well. i had them on my first grey ek3 with oem shocks and hated them, then with tokico illumina adjustable gas shocks on my black ek4 it was a SICK set-up

if you want them purely for slammage purposes they do the job
if you want a better ride + handling, look into getting shocks aswel

Any way, so today after a nice trip with Ned & Ezz we met up with Attley and we sorted out JAE. I got home and popped to Halfords and got my front Number plate sorted out and fitted my DIY tilt bracket...

from the eye it looks wonky...I dont know how because I have measured every thing up twice...Number plate has been measured and drilled accurately and it matched the hight of the bumper fine when I put it on ...

IMO its probably just the bolts where ive tightened them up...

Yeah just elongate one hole to compensate and tighten it back up.

Cheap daily ftw, exactly what you need it for

Any way so I got home a bit early from work and I don't know why but some sort of OCD kicked in and I cleaned the Engine Bay, using just Oven Cleaner (Mr Muscle) and a scouring pad - I wish I had some before and after pics guys the result was immense compared to how shitty the bay looked before. Im sure there was some stuf actually growing out of the bay it was that bad. Amazing what a good clean will do to your bay, especially if its white.

(Watch this space with the Bay gunna spray the rocker cover up and fit a new oil cap, any suggestions please)

Heres the bay

I then proceeded to give the car a bit of a wash n polish

I also cleaned off the paint spray that was left on my bumper and it came up quite nice,

I have also been speaking with some guy from Bradford who is breaking a GL on 4GUK, ive got some new front seats, rear bumper panel (where the lock is), and the casing from around the steering wheel to pick up this week FOR FREE(that's if my missus doesn't go into labour).

I have also sorted out the tilt on the bracket a bit, I think that I may have drilled the holes about half a cm out i dunno still looks a bit off but not as bad.

Ive hopefully got a bit of help on Sunday this week (Thanx Ezza & Ned) fitting the coil over springs so this will be SLAMMED and looking clean...Ready for the Meet on Monday.

Any way rant and pic dump over I will keep all posted on th progress of Powelly Junior / Princess (As we done know what were having yet).....

the bay doesnt look too shabby atall!

I think that there are a couple of things that you could do cheaply which will make a big diff, black paint on the air filter box top and rad brackets, high temp black on the mani cover and give the bolts a wire brush and just hit the dull metal on the dizzy with some silver paint.

Just a couple of things that stand out to me, looking good tho dude

I totally agree I was going to pop to Halfords tomorrow after work and do exactly that, bit of touch up paint wouldn't go a miss. I will also get some touch up paint for the rims so whilst we are doing the coilles I can quickly touch up the wheels b4 putting them back on.

Im also rewiring the ground wire as well from the rocker to the body as its a bit worn out and have noticed when i put the lights on the cars dips a bit in revs..could be the ground..need doing thou...

Thanx ezz.
