Marongoni are a death trap in wet, they are summer tyres.

Toyo proxy are good for what you pay hands down but wear down fast.

for me currently UniRoyal Rainsport 2's pure grip in dry, rain and snow.

Had ago at fitting the seats today after work! Didnt have much time and had to make my own rails out of the existing ones and some universal runners pallet gave me. Seems to work pretty well but could be better!

Hes a little teaser anywho

Thanks ezz, yes definatly an improvement! Feels so much better and safe! I remember one when pallet said bucket, harness, and coilovers are the best mod ever! And this is so true, gives you so much more confidence and just cant wait to get it on track now.

Also weighed the old seats and belts compared with the new ones and over all ive saved 15kg also took the spare wheel out too which was 11kg

Which i feel is pretty good! Next will be the power steering and abs so more weight will be saved ready for the cage Smile

Heres a few pics of both seats fitted

Yes you beast, will have to pop down some time in the week and let me have a butchers. Amazing how much difference seats can make to the overall look of the car.
Glad you see what I mean aswell about the seats/harness thing makes you feel much more connected with the car.

Just been looking on trackdays.co.uk and theres some cheap open pits for mallory which doesnt look too bad!

Another little update

Went to honda to order a touch up pen and front rear badges Smile got a call from honda to say the rear badge and touch up pen had arrived so went and picked them up Smile front badge is on back order til sept 1st Sad

Heres the difference

Looks soo much better, got no pics of the touched up bits but looks soo much better Smile

Also decied to sort the yellowing on my headlights!

So got some 800,1000,1500 grit wet and dry and started flatting them, then got some g3 and a mop and give them a good going over and thw difference is unbelievble! I need to take pictures of them now then i will post pictures BUT you can still see very faint scratches so going to redo them with some 2000 grit Smile

Hi all, this is what happened on my saturday morning Smile

Got up at 6.30 and cracked on for 7am!
Stripped it down and got the engine out ready to respray the bay AGAIN! and got rid of the power steering, will be replacing the steering rack boot tomorrow along with the inner cv boot!
Getting rid of the power steering has got rid of one leak and found a split in the rocker gasket so will be replacing that also Smile
